Surely I can't have been the only person who thought the only part of "Grandstand" worth enduring was the theme tune?

Agreed - it always irked me that such a good uplifting tune could be associated with a sport like football.
The other sporting theme I rather like is the one to Ski Sunday. I also like skiing, which helps somewhat.
The great thing about the Ski Sunday theme is that the strings on it make me think of sliding down a hill.
Of course, I'm not sure which is cause and which is effect :-)
