I'm never sure what to make of Gartner Magic Quadrants. This guy certainly isn't a fan...

However, I do find them a useful way of visually representing the current positioning of vendors in a given market at a given time (how they define the market is a question we won't get into here).

It's interesting to see that they believe IBM's ability to execute is greater than Microsoft's - but that their vision is more complete. I'm not sure how true that is - but it is true that I need to read up on Indigo...
